  • Can I use an old jacket?
Recycling an is a fantastic idea! As long as it fits well and the color matches the jersey colors, it will be perfect. Stains or tears in the outer layer are no problem, as they will be covered by fabric pieces from the jerseys. Plus, the zipper can be replaced if it's broken, and I can replace the lining if it's ripped or worn.
  • Do you do monogramming?
I don't offer monogramming myself, but you can find amazing monogram patches from talented artists on ETSY.com. Just search for "monogram patch" to explore a wide variety of choices. Once you receive and approve your patch, you can forward it to me, and I'll happily apply it to your garment wherever you like.
  • How much does it cost to convert a jacket or vest?
My fee for a jacket or vest conversion depends on the style, length, and size of the garment. Different styles and longer lengths can be more complex, requiring more detailed work. Additionally, larger sizes often involve more labor due to the extra time needed for disassembly and reassembly, as well as the greater surface area to work with. This means more cutting, arranging, and sewing. Also, larger sizes may require additional fabric. Thank you for understanding that these factors affect the overall cost. size and materials used. Fees start at $350 for vests and $750 for jackets. Please fill out the Get a Quote form on the website with your preferences to receive a personalized quote.
  • What should I consider when choosing a jacket to use?
When selecting a jacket or vest for your custom project, I recommend choosing a lightweight or medium-weight simple, lined jacket or vest with a plain front. For the best results, a center front zipper is ideal, though I can certainly work with jackets that have an off-center zipper. If you have a different style in mind, please send pictures to ensure compatibility. Please avoid garments that include buttonholes, snaps, buckles, studs, grommets, or any other metal or rigid plastic components. I can design around these features, but I cannot replace them, as I do not have the factory tools necessary to install them. This ensures that the customization process goes smoothly and results in a durable, high-quality finished product. Woven fabrics will work best. Please avoid leather, pleather, fur and metallic fabrics.
  • Is there enough fabric from the two jerseys to cover the jacket?
If there isn't enough fabric in the two jerseys, I will supplement with matching or coordinating fabric to complete the design. You will have the opportunity to choose the fabric color during the design phase.
  • Can I customize the collar or hood of the jacket?
Yes, you have the option to change a hood into a collar, add a hood instead of a collar, or eliminate the collar completely to provide more comfort when wearing a hoodie underneath. Your customization choices allow for a personalized and comfortable design.
  • Can I request changes to the original jacket?
Absolutely! I'm happy to work with you to address any changes you have in mind. It's imperative, though, that the jacket fits your torso as I do not make changes to the overall size. Remember, one person's idea of "taking it down a size" can vary greatly from another's. However, there are plenty of other customization options available. Sleeves can be shortened or lengthened, I can add knit cuffs or eliminate them, and you can even request a change in the collar. I am devoted to making sure your fan gear is both stylish and comfortable, just the way you want it!

  • What about pockets?
When adding personalized player numbers to your jacket, the original pockets may need to be moved. Don't worry, though – you will still have two large handwarmer pockets in the front to keep your hands cozy during those exciting games. Additionally, I'm happy to add more pockets to the lining of your jacket because, let's face it, you can never have too many pockets! My goal is to ensure your fan gear is not only stylish and unique but also incredibly functional.
  • Why do you require two identical jerseys?
Using two jerseys allows for more customization options and ensures there is enough fabric to create a unique and personalized fan jacket. When it comes to installing the zipper, the front of each jersey needs to be cut differently. Cutting straight down the center of a single jersey would not leave enough seam allowance for installing the zipper properly. By using two jerseys, I can strategically cut the fabric to maintain the integrity of the design, including the team name and player numbers, while also positioning the zipper perfectly.
  • Can you shorten a coat into a jacket?
Maybe! Send me a photo and we can work together to determine the new length and the style of hem you'd like. Check out the different lengths in the Style Inspiration photos for ideas.
  • How should I select the jacket color?
When selecting the jacket color, it's important to keep in mind that sections of the original jacket will remain visible, such as the lining, zipper, and knit bands at the cuffs, collar, or hem. To ensure a harmonious look, place the jacket and jerseys next to each other in daylight and make sure they coordinate well.
  • When can I expect to receive my customized fan jacket?
The turnaround time for a customized fan jacket typically ranges from 3 to 4 weeks from the date I receive your original items. The exact timeframe may vary based on the complexity of the design and my current workload. Generally, it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to complete the creation process, with an additional week for shipping. I strive to ensure timely delivery without compromising on quality and will keep you updated on the progress.
